EI Associates assisted the Demarest School District with the design of a Pre-K classroom addition at the County Road School.  The project includes a permanent classroom addition to house four Pre-K classrooms, each provided with a toilet room, small office suite to accommodate three private offices and open office area and new entrance area. The proposed one-story addition abuts the north end of the existing one-story school and was designed with a similar aesthetic that matches the height of the existing building. The new addition comprises a steel frame, flat roof structure with brick masonry exterior and dual glazed aluminum windows. Suspended acoustical tile ceiling, VCT flooring and painted interior walls comprises the building addition interior finishes.  Heating was provided via a perimeter baseboard hot water system. A new mechanical ventilation system was installed to provide code required ventilation and air conditioning of the new spaces was provided via VRF heat pump units. New LED lighting was provided. The existing building intercom and clock system was extended to support the new addition.

The work also covered site improvements including the installation of a utility access greenway, constructed of pervious grass pavers. New playground equipment was installed in the area between the utility access greenway and the asphalt paved area.
